Andre Schiffrin, RIP

Here's a fellow that I'm not familiar with, but perhaps those of you who are more knowledgeable of the world of books are well aware of him. It's a very interesting obit. He appears to me to have been someone I would have respected a great deal, although it is likely that I would have disagreed with his politics.

One of the great, important publishers of the 20th century. I read his book about current developments in publishing when his friend Klaus Wagenbach did the German edition. Very knowledgeable man. R.I.P.
