Jay Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Public shout out to Tom for this thread. Been a glorious day, since work was manageable, I more or less caught a good portion today....and on into the night. Sincerely appreciated. Quote

Hardbopjazz Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 I was listening to the broadcast and WKCR played a recording at Minton's Playhouse with Charlie Christian on guitar and Monk. They quartet was playing Rhythm 'A' Ning. I never heard this before. Does anyone know if this is available on CD? Quote

This would be a great find. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 I thought so too, but Phil Schapp said it was Monk and Christian and Kenny Clarke play Rhythm 'A' Ning. I don't recall the bassist. The sound was pretty awful though on the recording. Quote
