Beautiful landscapes and shots, Tim.

Thank you.

Yours are as well.

Next chance I get I want to visit Ireland, Scotland and Britain and see the other half of my heritage. I understand the beauty is just stunning.

You'll need to be selective. We might seem a small set of islands but the range of varied landscape is striking. Don't do what most people do and spend too much time in London. It's an interesting city but there is so much more (I say that as someone who visited the USA once and only left Manhattan island to walk over the bridge to Brooklyn for an hour or so!!!!).

Birds in flight around the flooded River Ouse, York on 8 December. Photo taken by Jess Clark

A striking picture; not of much use to the thousands who have had the live's turned upside-down by the floods, though.

Love this one...almost a landscape!:

A large flock of greater white-fronted geese, fly in the puszta or Hungarian steppe of Hortobagy, Hungary. The birds, native to Russia, Greenland and North America, are regular guests of the Carpathian Basin in winter Photograph: Zsolt Czegledi/AP

Would make a great jigsaw!

Museu do Amanhã, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

If I was planning a house extension...though I'd imagine the birds would be a bit wary.

Was astounded to see them on sale in W H Smith for a hundred and something. Hope none of them buzz me in the new year :(

They don't sell camels in WH Smith's in Worksop so we're not at risk.

Not likely to look like that here in the near future.
