Alexander Hawkins Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 The Bach - disc 1. As with Lipatti, one sole partita (or OK, in Lipatti's case, a couple of versions, but of the same one...) is both everything anyone could ever want, and a crying shame... Quote

Referentzhunter Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) One euro find now playing. Haydn stringquartet is ok but nothing more because of the reason that they are young, spontaneous at the moment of recording than that they know what they are doing. Brahms doesn't work at all. Nothing appears in this recording making it worth having in my opinion. Edited March 2, 2019 by Referentzhunter Quote

Thank you, don't knew there was a box for a decent price. The fifth will cost you on amazon.de for a as new to new between 25-40 euro. That was my reference. Still don't know what to think about his approach but maybe i will have a try some day now. Edited March 3, 2019 by Referentzhunter Quote

HutchFan Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 Vaughan Williams - A London Symphony (No. 2) / Barbirolli, Hallé Orchestra (Vanguard Classics) Originally released on Pye Records in the U.K., this LP is the first of Barbirolli's two recordings of this work. Glorious John indeed. Quote
