Larry Kart
Worthwhile piece about him from the Journal of Jazz Studies:http://jjs.libraries.rutgers.edu/index.php/jjs/article/view/99/
Quasimado
Nice article. I heard Ted a few years ago, and his playing was just beautiful - relaxed, spontaneous, melodic, flowing, swinging - on a par with Lee or Warne. His dedication to the music is admirable. Clunky
Thanks for the link. Ted Brown is someone I can't get enough of. All his releases have to my ears been very good or better. I wish he'd recorded more but we can be grateful for what there is and that it is of such high quality.
Clunky
https://www.gofundme.com/assistance-for-jazz-tenor-sax-nonagenarian Anita Brown, Ted’s daughter has established a go-fund-me page for Ted. He’s healthy but has fallen on hard times financially since the death of his wife in March.
