Clunky
Looking for info on this good LP ( bootleg?)I picked up. No recording date given and I cant find any info. Its produced by Michael Cuscuna and is on a German label TobaccoRoad subtitled American Jazz and Blues History Vol 56. Any one know the real source of this recording. Its basically a sax quartet album with Dom Salvador (piano), Stafford James(BASS) and Joe Chambers.. any extra info appreciated Edited March 8, 2004 by Clunky
brownie
This was a Muse original. Came out as 'Nomusa'. Recorded on January 28, 1975.

Clunky
incidentally for anyone interested this seems to be a poor pressing with lots of surface noise despite the fact that the LP appears visually to be in mint condition
Claude
I agree. I picked up "Nomusa" at a second hand store in Brussels a few weeks ago. It's a german pressing on the Happy Bird label (B/90091). I like Kenyatta's ECM album "Girl from Martinique" a lot, but this session is much less interesting. And the recording quality is so-so.
