Brad Posted December 11, 2018 Report Posted December 11, 2018 TCM is showing Kubrick’s WWI classic tonight. If you haven’t seen this, you must. One of the best movies ever made, imho. The movie was banned in France for years. Kirk Douglas and Adolphe Menjou are magnificent. Quote
ghost of miles Posted December 11, 2018 Report Posted December 11, 2018 One of my favorite films of all-time. I have the Criterion DVD and just watched it again not too long ago. Quote
Brad Posted December 11, 2018 Author Report Posted December 11, 2018 One of my favorites too. Does the Criterion have any extras? Quote

Milestones Posted December 11, 2018 Report Posted December 11, 2018 (edited) An absolute classic. The closing scene is as memorable and moving as any I have even seen in cinema. And great clip put up Ghost of Miles. Kubrick made 5 minutes of screen time feel like two hours of pure terror and hell. Edited December 11, 2018 by Milestones Quote
Brad Posted December 11, 2018 Author Report Posted December 11, 2018 The last scene is indeed classic as is the last scene between Douglas and Menjou. Quote
