medjuck Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 I can't find the long discussion about music streaming but I thought I'd pass along the latest manifestation of the move to bytes rather than atoms. I got an-email from Smithsonian Folkways advertising an up-coming release of a box set of music from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. When I clicked on the order link https://orcd.co/jazzfest it offered not only the box set and various places to download it but links to reserve it on streaming services! Quote
JSngry Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 Because if they sell out of stream you're SOL? Not being anything but the most casual streamer, I don't see what they're offering here? Quote
Coda Posted April 25, 2019 Report Posted April 25, 2019 I checked. I have Amazon Music streaming service. After clicking on medjuck's link I see that I can stream the music now from this service. The other choices show pre-order status. Quote
