Undergroundagent needs that Hill "Grass Roots" CD. I'm not saying it's on hold for him, but it should be!! ;)

He and I just traded some PM's the other day, where he was asking about what Andrew Hill titles I thought he might like, and "Grass Roots" was high on my list of suggestions (knowing his primary interest is in soul-jazz, as opposed to Hill's more typical releases).

The Blakey/Moody is great, IMHO. The stuff is from 78's originally, but it sounds pretty good. Dave Burns on trumpet in the Moody sections, which comprise tracks 1-9. 10-14 are Blakey w/ Kenny Dorham on trumpet, an alto, bari, tenor, trombone. I'd recommend it, fer sure!
