Bol Posted March 31, 2004 Author Report Posted March 31, 2004 (edited) Up for the last time with price reductions. It amazes me how much more eager people are to acquire 1950s and 1960s hardbop than to acquire anything before or after. I guess the jazz of those times are the most listener-friendly. bebopbob Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Just sent you an email regarding the Kenny Burrell Conn. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 (edited) Yes, it is pretty interesting isn't it that all the hardbop leaps and the rest is there. . . . I'd be interested if I didn't have all of that earlier jazz stuff already. . . I'd definitely jump on the TOCJ of the Ellington if I hadn't recently bought for quite a lot of money the Storyville version. . . . Good stuff peops! Edited March 31, 2004 by jazzbo Quote
Bol Posted March 31, 2004 Author Report Posted March 31, 2004 Just sent you an email regarding the Kenny Burrell Conn. E-mailed you back. It is still available. Another confirmation of my impression!! Quote
undergroundagent Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 (edited) I definately fit the bill here!! Call me crazy, but I like that "cool-boppish" type of jazz with lots of solos. Some day, I might break out and buy some of the first recordings, but for now I'll stick to the time period spanning 1950 until about 1975. Lots of time to get to all of the other stuff!
