mr jazz Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 We saw the orchestra last Sunday-fortunately no cell phones ringing! For $45 a tik, we enjoyed 5th row center seats. This has to be the best value in classical music. Quote
Ken Dryden Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 It used to be a huge headache when IAJE was held in Long Beach. Performances were frequently interrupted by some jerk who didn't mute his/her cellphone or pager. I don't remember that happening in Toronto, New York City or New Orleans. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 I had my cell phone muted at Scullers a few weeks ago at a show with The Cookers. I went to open a youtube video link to check on a tune they were playing and the damn thing un-muted itself on me and a few notes from the video blasted out of my phone. Luckily, it was between songs and David Weiss commented, "Hey, no Coltrane when we're playing," and the crowd got a good laugh. I was supremely embarrassed. Quote
