mr jazz Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 We saw the orchestra last Sunday-fortunately no cell phones ringing! For $45 a tik, we enjoyed 5th row center seats. This has to be the best value in classical music. Quote
Ken Dryden Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 It used to be a huge headache when IAJE was held in Long Beach. Performances were frequently interrupted by some jerk who didn't mute his/her cellphone or pager. I don't remember that happening in Toronto, New York City or New Orleans. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 I had my cell phone muted at Scullers a few weeks ago at a show with The Cookers. I went to open a youtube video link to check on a tune they were playing and the damn thing un-muted itself on me and a few notes from the video blasted out of my phone. Luckily, it was between songs and David Weiss commented, "Hey, no Coltrane when we're playing," and the crowd got a good laugh. I was supremely embarrassed. Quote
