medjuck Posted July 18 Report Posted July 18 (edited) Does everyone know about this: https://www.otrcat.com/p/duke-ellington? As well as Ellington theres a lot of Basie, Goodman, Eddie Condon etc. You can buy cds, mp3 cds or mp3 downloads (which are incredibly cheap -$5 for 25 or so 30 minute programs). I just purchased 50 1/2 hour Eddie Condon Town Hall shows for $5. (Mainly for Pee Wee Russell). Of course you can also get a lot of old detective shows too. Edited July 18 by medjuck Quote
GA Russell Posted July 18 Report Posted July 18 Thanks Joe! I have been buying from Radio Archives, but I haven't seen music offerings like what you have here. I see 331 episodes of One Night Stand for $40.00 (12 cents per show)! Quote
Ken Dryden Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 It would be nice to know the show dates for Duke Ellington to see how much has already been issued commercially by other labels. Quote
jazztrain Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 In most cases, it looks like the file names indicate the date (year/month/day). Quote
medjuck Posted July 27 Author Report Posted July 27 (edited) Yes, I didn't buy these because I seem to have most of them on either cd or downloads. Edited July 27 by medjuck Quote
