Dmitry
Jim S should know this place. It's in Dallas. Perhaps catesta will be interested. Anyway, hurry up, auction'll be over soon. A nice way to retire...but not for $225,000.
Dan Gould
Looks like a cool store, and you know, the way used record sellers work-they pay maybe 20% of what they think they can sell the album for, so there's a lot of profit in every sale. Still, $225,000 is a helluva lot to pay for that inventory so there goes your profit, at least for a while. Nevertheless, owning a business like that-no more complaining about not having enough listening time!
BeBop
I'd like to own a record store in Lon Armstrong's neighborhood. (Just kidding, Lon!)
jazzbo
That would be a nice store!
Shrdlu
That reminds me, I haven't heard from Groovenet in Garland (TX, of course) for awhile. They used to email specials at least once a week. Does anyone know if they are still around. It wasn't all that big a store when I was last there, but they moved after that.
mgraham333
Eeek - "Buyer pays shipping charges." that could be a lot of money....
JSngry
Is that the Forever Young Arlington store? Haven't been there in ages. Talk about overpriced! But they got some good stuff...
JSngry
Nope, looks like it's Never been there. Never even HEARD of it! Arlington's a wee drive, nothing TOO major. The next time I got a free afternoon (yeah, as IF), maybe I'll mosey on over.
