medjuck
I'm going to be in New York on the night of April 27th. Are there any jazz happenings on that night that I should try to get to or should I just try to see a play or have a nice meal? (My wife and I will probably walk the High Line and go to the Whitney Biennial during the day.)
kh1958
My choice would probably be Abdullah Ibrahim and Ekaya at Town Hall. http://thetownhall.org/event/thejazzepistles Edited April 14, 2017 by kh1958

kh1958
If you scroll to the back of the linked New York City Jazz Record, there is a fairly complete day by day listing of April jazz events.
