I think I have one from Japan from that time, with Rivers, maybe Tokyo, and it also has a distorted sound at the beginning, I think the tune is "If I were a Bell", something is not okay with the sound for a moment.....

Hadn't heard Undercurrents by Bill Evans & Jim Hall in years and couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it this week! Made me feel so good!

Anyone know whether the second edition of the Coltrane Reference will be published before the centenary of Coltrane’s birth (September 2026)?

The system is all warmed up and I’m treating it to a Monday Michiru that is among my favorite listens of the darkest time of this century–“Optimista” . . . talk about a percussive wall of sound. I love this photo–I love any woman who can laugh this way.   300×299 7.48 KB
