pre-1970 versions of HERBIE HANCOCK tunes on NON-Herbie leader dates

Inspired by the same thread I started earlier about Chick Corea.

Similar ground-rules (only dates from the 60's), but with a couple limitations...

ONLY DATES WITH HERBIE ACTUALLY ON THE DATE. There's a TON of Herbie covers from the 60's, and that's a whole 'nother can of worms I don't want to get into here.

And let's only worry about Herbie tunes recorded with/by Miles that Herbie DIDN'T record himself on one of his own leader dates. (In other words, only Herbie tunes exclusive to the Miles catalog -- are there any??)

Seems like there's about three or four Herbie tunes on BN that I always forget about until I actually pick up the date in question. Tunes that weren't remakes (earlier or later) of tunes Herbie made himself (on his own leader-dates).

There's one or two on some early Donald Byrd albums. Gotta be some others I'm forgetting.

Are there any Herbie tunes that he recorded with Miles, that Herbie DIDN'T also record himself (on one of Herbie's own leader dates)???

There weren't any Herbie tunes in the Miles book before Wayne started -- right?? (That's my memory of it.)

OK, here's everything from the Miles 65-68 box (via the AMG). My memory is that all of these tunes were also recorded on Herbie leader dates (I'll confirm this later, when I get the chance).

And I can't think of any Herbie tunes on any Miles albums prior to the 65-68 studio material (and I'm sure if there was one, it would jump to mind).

4 Little One Hancock 7:23

19 The Sorcerer Hancock 5:11

25 Madness Hancock 1:56

29 Madness Hancock 6:45

35 Riot Hancock 3:05

43 I Have a Dream Hancock 6:44

44 Speak Like a Child Hancock 2:28

The last two are rehearsal takes, not fully-realized studio recordings.

Another I just thought of with Herbie as a sideman...

From Nat Adderly's "Sayin' Something" (on Atlantic, with Joe Henderson, no less)

Cataloupe Island

I knew there was another one on BN that I was forgetting.

From Jackie McLean's "Vertigo" (also with Byrd, and also very early in Herbie's career)...

Yams Hancock 8:00

I almost never think of these Herbie tunes, normally, unless and until I pull out the date in question.
