  1. Anyone interested in selling or have any leads to a clean/mint non-BMG/Columbia House retail or promo copy of Elvin's At This Point in Time on CD aside from the usual internet sites? Missed out on the Elvin Blue Note Mosaic a few years ago but very into experiencing these recordings after picking up Japanese editions of "Genesis", "Ultimate", "Live at the Lighthouse" and "Coalition" at Dusty Groove website.

Anyone have any info if "Merry Go Round" will be issued as separate CD/ Thanks. Bob

  2. In an effort to get the complete Larry Young - Blue Note recordings without buying the long out of print and very expensive Mosaic box set as I already have the individual CD issues of all his other Blue Nore LPs with the exception of "Contrasts", are there any plans by anyone to issue "Contrasts" on CD? I purchased a new LP resiuue of "Contrasts" to find out that there is a skip on side two, track one "Major Affair". I returned the LP only to get another new copy with a skip on the same track which suggests that the recent Blue Note LP resissues are not issued on high qulaity vinyl. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Thanks. Bob

  3. Looking for a clean/mint copy of the following two CDs which were issued on the MusicMasters label:

    Jim Hall - Something Special

William Albright- Waltzes, Marches and Rags of Scott Joplin (Single CD follow up to 2 CD set)

I notice that both are for sale on amazon, half, etc, but I have had some bad luck recently from "on-line" sellers" who send scratched/Columbia House/Jazz Heritage Society club copies.

Willing to make a trade or buy at fair prices.

    Promo/cut-out copies are fine.

    Thanks for looking.

    Bob

  4. Does anyone have a mint/clean copy of Roland Kirk's - Reeds and Deeds on CD they're interested in selling? The copy I won on eBay on December 20, 2009 which the seller sent registered mail arrived in the US from Japan on December 29th but it's been over a month and there's no trace of it. I paid $40 for the disc and I'm willing to do the same for anyone who's interested in selling. I'm also open to trades but I don't have too much in the "rare/unusual" pile. Thanks. Bob

  5. Of all the categories on the board in which to post, I thought this might be the best place to post this question:

I bought a CD from an reputable eBay seller in Japan which I had sent registered mail. After two weeks of waiting for the disc, I emailed the seler who gave me a "RR" tracking number. I checked the USPS website and found that it was delivered to the US on 12/28/09. I called the USPS which wasn't of any use but figured that the disc is tied up in US customs. Any advice or contact info would be greatly appreciated. I hope it hasn't gone into the abyss/.
