  1. I have the Japanese-issue 10-LP box set (blue box with obi). Nicest sound and presentation (booklets in English and Japanese) of any reissue I've seen or heard. Corbin
  2. The Black Saint And THe Sinner Lady Pithecanthropus Erectus Tijuana Moods Tonight At Noon Mingus At Antibes Corbin
  3. There is a copy on Amazon for $75...not cheap, I know. Corbin
  4. I bought a Yamaha P120 from them a few years ago, along with a bunch of goodies. Everything arrived in fine shape for a great price. I would definitely recommend them. Corbin
  5. I just picked up new copies of the The Byrd-Grice Complete Jazz Lab Quintet (3 vols.) from a vendor on Amazon for about $7.50 per disc and have to say that although the liner notes are far from exhaustive, the music is great and the sound quality is very good. This is the only purchase I've made from Lone Hill, but it seems they did a very good job on this reissue.
  6. I too have been wishing I'd gotten in on it at the beginning. I, too, have a ton of soundboards and much of that run. But I just thought about all the jazz I could buy for $500-$700. I ended up getting the whole box, plus the bonus disc, via the Net on MP3, which I burned as conventional CDs. It kills me to think about what I'm missing sonically from a lossy format, but until I find a box cheap, it'll have to do. The discs sound OK, frankly, and I just wanted to hear the music. Corbin
  7. That was my first thought too--they're all gone. I saw one that came up on *Bay, and it went for $61! Ouch!
  8. Wow, quick response to the member's request for the Basie booklet. I'm hoping I might luck out too. I bought a used copy of Woody Herman's complete Capitol on Mosaic, but there was no booklet. I'd be happy to compensate someone for a xerox of the booklet, or to purchase an original. I'm an amateur DJ in a college town and would love to have the extra information from that booklet for my show. Thanks all, Corbin
  9. I purchased a new copy of the Revenant Charlie Patton box from Cargo Records in the UK. Order-to-door took a week, and it cost $77 total. Not as great as the Ebay $46 deal, but better than the $125 I see a lot. No affiliation, just thought I'd pass it on. This set is everything they said it is: incredible music and museum-quality presentation. Link: http://www.cargorecords.co.uk/release/42 ******************* Corbin
  10. I just bought a used copy off the web a few weeks ago for $25, and for sure at that price it was worth it. This is a great box set. Corbin
  11. Email (corbink@verizon.net) or PM if you have a copy you'd like to sell. Thanks, Corbin
