My guess is that, for having to endure a steady stream of flack, the 'good folks' at Universal will dig real deep in the warehouse pile and pluck out the real pretty ones to send our way. Evans Box -

You're presuming that the most dependable family of precision-guided munitions originates in the Pentagon. B-) -
LF: lennie niehaus OCJ's...
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to etherbored's topic in Offering and Looking For...
Don't freak out etherboard....if you can't find any Niehaus, I'll sell ya a bunch of Howard Rumsey/Lighthouse cassettes -- material is just as good! Truthfully, I think that LN's 'I Remember You' is one of the greatest numbers known to man. I would say that fully 75% of the comp cds that I make for parties, car, gifts for a kids teacher, etc....have it on there. -

I told them my wife was in a wicked sour mood since the Vikings traded Moss and that she'd yank both his & Lennox' hair out by the roots if they didn't wise up! -

Whatever. "Excuse us, my good man, but could you kindly return the set that we legally sold to you?" I really don't have a dog in this fight... just still honked off for fellow board members. Like I said earlier.... 'ROCK HEADS!' Brad, I realize that your conversation was undoubtedly brief.....but I don't suppose you thought to ask the genius why a $99 'Buy-it-Now' on a Brownie box would shock them to their green eye-shade core? Perhaps I'd better call. B-) -
The last time I watched an awards program of this sort, Sony had just introduced the Walkman.

Frank Wess & Frank Foster '2 Franks'
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Son-of-a-Weizen's topic in Miscellaneous Music
Yes, the double LP with the 3 additional tracks ('M.C.', 'La Jolie' & 'South Side') that aren't on either of the two Lps you mentioned. Well, on my copies anyway. -
Anyone know if '2 Franks Please!' Savoy (2249?) was ever released on vinyl in Japan?

I too agree that they'll likely get a slap on the wrist with a feather and that it would take a certain degree of 'hounding' to pry these loose. If it was actually something I cared deeply about, I'd be happy to lock horns and do the whole 'David & Goliath' thing...but not over some cds (assuming of course that they don't steal my $203). As far as I'm concerned, these rock heads aren't worth breaking my pick on so I'm happy to fire off a few notes and let a well-timed barrage of 15-20 negative feedback comments speak for itself. I've got two loaded barrels in this game. B-) -

Kevin can redeem himself by working on MC to reissue 'The Rajah'. B-) -
up (or down, whatever ...) I'd be real interested in these ones if you're still offering? Jimmy Smith - Cool Blues Donald Byrd - Slow Drag ** I'll pony up a couple of Verve discs: Archie Shepp & Roswell Rudd 'Live in New York' Wayne Shorter 'Alegria' (going to tjobbe) Who'd like them? EDIT: I also have Ralph Towner's 'Solstice' (ECM) w/Garbarek, Weber & Christensen to toss into the freebie pile. This one has some scuffs but plays perfect. (going to Pete)

I received one for both the Brownie & Evans box. What a $@# outrage! They're going to take the position that a $99 'buy-it-now' on a Brownie box is somehow a wild error??? -

If it's an open letter to BN you want, just go over to the BN Europe board and post away. I'm sure they're checking in over there on a daily basis.

If mine arrives w/o rust, I'll just put it in some sort of clear plastic pouch along with one of these desiccant jobbers that I've got lying around. They're cheap, easy to use & work quite well.
