  1. Oh gosh....now's the time he finally decides to go and get all irritated and sensitive on us??
  2. yeah, he can chirp....but can he change a light bulb?
  3. Bob Packwood never attempted to stick his tongue in an intern's mouth in a senate elevator...... ...it was Ted Kennedy wearing a Packwood mask!
  4. ....must have confused the hell out of the cats living there who are 'hardwired' to stalk & attack things that chirp ('I'm supposed to kill and eat THAT?? Waa?')
  5. Wow....$50 they want for this Niehaus OJC? Must be seriously rare. http://cgi.ebay.com/Quintets-1-Niehaus-Len...1713.m153.l1262
  6. You used to be able to leave items in your shopping cart at HMV for days & days....a week even while ya mulled it all over. Now those rogues have wised up and are dumping stuff out after a few measly hours!!! This is an abomination!
  7. Fab!! ......shoot me your address and I'll pop in the mail an old Ollie North tape that came from someone at National Review years ago. I can send 'Al Gore's Greatest Speeches, Vols. 1-39' as well if you want?
  8. I reject the whole notion that one shouldn't try to take advantage of these situations and employ 'codebreaking' skills/techniques to try and decifer code that Person 'A' is sending to Person 'B' out in the open. Come up with better signals.
  9. ....and yet another
  10. Hmmm, good to know....I was wondering about the counterfeit angle on these ones. Thanks for the insight, Claude.
  11. Many of those K2 remasters are now regularly showing up on Ebay (search for "VICJ" in the description) from asian sellers at low prices ($8-11). Most of them have not been released in the US K2 series. I like their sound (compared to the regular OJCs) and the packaging. True.....they're out there but they're not necessarily going for low prices. I bid on (and lost) two of them (a Pepper & an Evans) over the past several days that topped out at $22+. No reason to go and spend more than that on these ones when the new DSD discs are set to appear in March & April. BTW, in my case....both sellers were in the U.S. Most of those $9.99 ones appearing in China aren't K2s are they?
  12. I've been on there since '99 and still think that, despite some flaws, it's the best thing going. Boycott? Um, no.
  13. I hear they're now test marketing overseas in Paris-Match and Réalités. Yum....tastes like Poulet!!
  14. So that's the bench where you hatched the entertaining '3 Cubans, 2 angry Frenchmen, and a Pee Wee Marquette look-alike in a pear tree all firing from the grassy knoll' theory you were kicking around here a few years ago? Cool.....I need to give that bench a whirl and see what wild shit I can dream up!!!!! Thanks for the suggestion......and don't forget to leave a small cooler of Beck's for me under the seat!
  15. Come on, Chris…get moving with that dolly!! ..and be careful with those kegs! Only 4 more flights to go!!! Put some muscle into it!! You've barely broken a sweat! …and remember, you still need to come back down and carry up the 15 lb sacks of Fritos and Honey Mustard Pretzels!!!
  16. H) Stick around for the next week's band at the Vanguard Yes, a fine idea!!! .....but the question is: will Chris A. be able to put up with me for an entire week if I crash at his place? I don't think he's going to like having to run out for various supplies at all hours of the day & nite in order to keep me happy whilst I lounge about the place and soak up culture.
  17. How about 'Meets The Rhythm Section'? Can you rate that one? good, bad ...ugly?????? ......or the Kenny Drew Trio?
  18. Last weekend of the month. I can only hit 2 -- possibly 3 -- shows. I was thinkin' C, E & F.........but then again D is lookin' good, as is __. Which ones? ...... aaargh!! 19. This is just like Pearl Harbor,” one of the men said. The other asked, “What is Pearl Harbor?” Oh no.. Pearl Harbor!! Reminds me of the Starbucks 'experience' I had in 2005. (Post #4) http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=21193
  20. He didn't send one out.......shall we stage a boycott in protest? Start here. Looks like there are 7 or 8 pages worth. http://www.hmv.co.jp/search/index.asp?sort...mp;formattype=1
  21. ....here's one on the HMV list that I bet no one has? Gigi Gryce CD Gigi Gryce & Jazz Love Quintet Regular price (tax inc.): ¥1,100 Add to wishlist Availability: Out Soon - current release date is 18 Jun 2008
  22. Another good deal is the upcoming release of 150 or so OJC titles for 1,100 Yen ($10) on May 21 & June 18. Some of 'em, like the Mal-3 & Mal-4, Junior Cook/Blue Mitchell, Paul Gonsalves and Rene Thomas are no longer at CD Universe.......though they're probably hanging around somewhere else. Farmer/Byrd '2 Trumpets' isn't as readily available.......sure wish they'd release '3 trumpets' again.
