In the video of "Jazz in Harlem"-showing the famous photo by Art Kane-there is reference to an Esquire Magazine edition-Jan. 1958??-in which the photos taken that day were printed. Does anyone out there have this edition of Esquire? I'd sure like to get my hands on a copy-or even at a minimum just see the magazine article! So far E-bay has had no offerings and local old periodicals shops in my area-Portland-have had no copies. Any help/leads out there? Thanks!

I saw Rhoda Scott at last years Monterey Jazz Festival where she played with Houston Person-one of-if not the best-Hammond B-3 live sessions I have ever heard. IMHO, it was the highlight of the whole festival. Greezy organ and soulful tenor of Houston's-life doesn't get much better! Her Jazz in Paris cds are great-but live is where it's at! -jazzkrow (glad to be here!)
