    Thanks for the kind words, aloc! Yeah, that's a hot recording. "Kidd" Jordan is in rare form on that one too. Unfortunately I have only the first of the two CDs; somewhere along the line in multiple moves the second disc got lost in the shuffle. do you have 'palm of soul' by hamid, kidd, and william on aum(038)? it is one of the most intimate and moving recordings i have ever heard. my god, the scope of these artists.

    aloc will celebrate by loading up with a fine german wine and loading up the turntable. anyone attending a live celebration? :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: I just found out that as part of the Philadelphia Bach Fest they are performing ALL of the Brandenburg Concertos--all at one concert. It will be a long concert but never a boring one!

    Thanks, aloc, but I've been there. Once married to a trombonist, now I'm single and living in Florida. Apparently not such a good plan.
