  1. It was an EPIC FAIL by all those involved.
  2. You had two adults on that bus. One of whose sole job was to keep it from happening. The problem is she's the one it's happening too. If she can't or won't do anything when it's her....do you think she would do anything to help other kids? Would anyone allow want their kids on a bus she was supposed to be "monitoring"? No one is denying that that the kids were behaving badly here, or that the parent's obviously failed. That's still doesn't warrant death threats against them and their families. Police having to go into tactical alert over hostage hoaxes.
  3. Why would anyone conveniently transfer his share of his house to his wife "for for a dollar plus “love and affection.”"? There is no real tax advantage in doing so. It does protect however the house from any civil case, which might result for any reason on the other hand. Who knew what and when they knew it will eventually come out once any criminal case against those others at Penn St., and/or civil cases start..., and there might be some against Paterno...especially with his estate receiving a $13.4 million pension. Penn St. has only recently released documents to Prosecutors, which show they had a file on Sandusky....as well as the emails. The best that can be said about McQueary and Paterno is that they did the very least possible legally in 2002. After that, it was Pontius Pilate for both of them. Why Sandusky was still allowed on the campus or what happened? They did not care after that to follow-up with a simple question. In Paterno's case that is even worse.
  4. His lawyer also impregnated a 16-year-old when he was 49. She was also his client in her emancipation petition. Not sure if the impregnation happened while he was still her lawyer. He latter married and had a 2nd child with her before divorcing. P.S. Age of consent in PA is 16. Paterno waited until the next Monday to tell his superiors. He did not want to ruin their weekend. You can't make that up! The same superiors who would later go to his home to get him to retire; he threw them out of his house. Which of them exactly is the superior between the three of them? Paterno thus waited a couple of days later to tell them. Add in McQueary's delay in reporting to Paterno (never mind a 6'4" 230 former football player couldn't do more than close a locker in response to a boy being sodomized by someone in his late 50's.) on top of that. He was 25/26 at time but had to talk to his father before telling Paterno what he saw. A minor being sexually abused was not important enough to report right away for either McQueary or Paterno. Can't ruin anyone's weekend over a kid being allegedly (at that time it was still allegedly.) being sodomized. Sandusky was Paterno's expected replacement before he suddenly resigned. This happened soon after the original reported incident and completely out of the blue. His defense is the reason Penn St. was Penn St. It wasn't known as Linebacker U because of Paterno. Just look at Penn St's. record after he resigns. Does anyone really believe Paterno didn't know about the first incident? His best coach (and if I am not mistaken the longest serving under him. Someone Paterno coached when he played there.) suddenly resigns and he doesn't know why?
  5. "As soon as the lights went out at night, Sandusky's fellow inmates at the Centre County Correctional Facility serenaded him with a chorus from Pink Floyd's "The Wall": "Hey, teacher, leave those kids alone!" Anyway, while those who do anything to children are considered the lowest of the low. Very few are actually killed. Someone as well known as him will go into protective custody. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2011/11/jerry_sandusky_out_on_bail_are_child_molesters_tormented_in_american_prisons_.html
  6. Were the kids in question disrespectful to someone older than them? Hell yes! Have their parents failed in doing their job? Of course! Should the kids be punished by the school in question? Yes. In the meantime, only in America can you be a complete failure in your job and be considered a hero and have people send you $600,000+ and counting. She is the bus monitor but she just sat there and allowed it to happen to her. It makes you wonder WTF? was allowed to happen in the 23-years of her being a bus driver and monitor on her buses. In the meantime, (keeping in mind no official report has been released of any of the kids or their families names) the kids who are all of 12-13 and their families have been receiving thousands of threats. One of the kids in just one day received 1000 threats. One of the other kid's family found the police deployed in force around their house. Why? Because someone called the police to report, they had taken the family hostage. It took awhile for the police to find out it was a hoax. The family had turned off all their phones. At least the kids have the excuse of being kids. You expect kids to do stupid things....especially if their parent's don't do their job. WTF? is the excuse of all the supposed adults involved? There are a lot of serious crimes resulting since it went viral....and it's the adults doing it. The kids and family sent an apology to her. Even if she did not believe they were serious; she could have helped defuse the situation by accepting it. She not only did not, she made sure to let it be known publicly she did not accept it and thought it was B.S. With all the nutcases out there in this day and age.... P.S. I am I the only one that wonders WTF? the bus driver was in all this?
  7. It's been that way since before the wheel. The verdict isn't in yet but many believe the widespread of cellphone cameras might be deterring crime. You're comparing apples to oranges. Technology from "before the wheel" was aimed at the growth of civilization. To put FB in that category would be foolish. Do you realize just how absurd you come across? First it was Facebook = Technology and now since you were called out on that....this is your response. No one forces anyone to post anything on Facebook. Honestly, even as convoluted as Facebook makes it....you have to be just lazy or don't give a shit if you're an adult. It honestly isn't that difficult for anyone that really cares....especially if they're going to use their real names. And in this day and age ("technology" boogeyman alert!), it doesn't take long to google (more "technology" bogeyman alert) how to do anything for anyone that really cares. And I realize you must think kids are stupider than adults, but it is generally reverse when it comes to computers and the internet (Lions, tigers and bears. Oh my!). At that point, it's an issue of parental oversight. Oh yeah, Cambria....and it's the kids that are the only two who have some sort of a clue. Maybe their parents might ask them how to get the same clue.
  8. Trying this for the third time. Having the delete button in the place the edit button is on every other place will take awhile to get used too. It's called Geotagging. Anyone interested in disabling it. http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/11712/how-to-disable-geotagging-on-your-smartphones-camera-android-iphone-blackberry/ The biggest problem is facebook's privacy settings are convoluted. There is a reason it is like that. Most people do not know how to set them properly. Also, many adults are worse than the kids. A member who posted in this thread really needs to figure out how to use them properly and pass it on to his family. Why anyone uses their real name and then proceeds to upload pictures or post anything without making sure, only their friends can see them is beyond me. Why other people upload embarrassing pictures or posts on top of that is another discussion. Even when you delete things, they will still be on facebook's servers for awhile
  9. I think you're mistaking him with Eduardo Saverin. He was one of 1800 people to give up their U.S. citizenship last year to avoid paying taxes, or disclosing their offshore assets.. Instead of having to pay taxes on what he was worth once the IPO happened...he had to pay a one time "exit" tax based on what he was worth at the time, which was nowhere near the $4 billion the IPO made him. All getting married after the IPO did was protect his pre-marriage worth in California. That's if he didn't have a pre-nup, but considering his wife had him sign a relationship contract before she moved there in the first place, I doubt there isn't a pre-nup.
  10. 1. You're right in that he really isn't interested in money, per se. He was already worth a couple billion on paper. 2. The SEC can't force a company to go public. 3. 12g just states any company with 500 investors and $10 million in assets has to file detailed quarterly & annual financial reports. These reports also become public record. 4. Once Facebook passed the threshold the best time to file an IPO was before they had to legally file. 5. Those who sold their shares converted their B shares into A shares. He still owns 58% of the B shares, which is why he can do anything he wants.
  11. I am sorry. I was attempting edit my initial response and clicked delete instead of edit.
  12. That sounds more like the doctor's personal opinion more than a medical one. I am not a lawyer, but I can't imagine there are even laws for anyone above 18. There is always the other parent's family. That's if the father isn't your sister's grandson. You're welcome.
