  1. I have heard some of the same OOT comments about the playing of Jackie McLean. Yet in the case of both Ernie Henry and Jackie McLean, I hear a passion and soulfulness and jazz sensibility that makes me strongly like their playing a great deal.
  2. Ernie Henry with Monk, as well as his Riverside albums are things I like a lot.
  3. Drove to Phoenix this past winter to see Charles McPherson one night at The Nash. He had a fine rhythm section, and Charles sounded fantastic. One of the truly great jazz musicians playing today even at his advanced age. It was well worth the drive and motel expense to have the opportunity to see and hear see wonderful music.
  4. Cedar Walton, David Williams, Billy Higgins
  5. Mozart - Clarinet Quintet K.581 and Dvorak - String Quartet No.13, Op.106
  6. With Don Friedman, Marc Johnson, Heinz Lied
  7. Haydn - Op.77/1 and Schubert - Piano Sonata D.894
  8. I found two in this latest batch that I like. One by Dan - Clifford Jordan - Royal Ballads And one by you - Lee Konitz Quartet - Ideal Scene
