  1. Mozart - Piano Concerto No.13, K.415 Mendelssohn - String Quartet Op.12
  2. Dvorak - String Quartet No.7, Op.16 Beethoven - String Trio No.5, Op.70/1 "Ghost"
  3. The trumpet player missing from those you mentioned above is Art Farmer. I just found eleven recordings he made as leader in the 70's that I like very much. I didn't check to see his sideman performances during the 70's. But as you, said it comes down to individual taste.
  4. Here are my four favorite recordings with Gary Peacock: Bud Shank - New Groove The Remarkable Carmell Jones Bill Evans - Trio '64 Steve Kuhn Trio - Walrtz;Blue Side
  5. The Roy Eldridge session is my favorite on this list. I also like the Shelly Manne - Essence, which I don't believe has ever been reissued on CD.
  6. Beethoven - Op.18/4 Mendelssohn - String Quartet in E flat major (without opus number)
  7. With Jimmy Heath, Barry Harris, Richard Davis & Roy Haynes. The piano solo by Barry Harris on "How High The Moon" is a killer!!!
