  4. This 1991 date has Renee Rosnes, Todd Coolman and Lewis Nash. Joe Henderson plays on 3 of the 9 tracks.
  5. This is a good CD. The strings referred to in the title are guitarists and bass players.

  8. I consider this to be a 5 Star album. Frank Foster is wailing, Ted Dunbar is in top form, Mickey Tucker plays outstanding throughout, his solo on "Joy Spring" is far and away the best thing I have ever heard from him. Earl May and Billy Hart do exactly what is required.
  9. The one for me on this latest list is - Cecil Payne / Duke Jordan - Brooklyn Brothers.
  10. I am very partial to "You Taught My Heart To Sing". It took me a while to realize that it was written by McCoy Tyner.
