Big Joe Turner with Milt Buckner, Slam Stewart and Jo Jones

It was disappointing that the obit does not mention her role as a writer and record reviewer for Down Beat. In fact her involvement in Jazz was only briefly mentioned. I well recall reading her articles and reviews in Down Beat when they were first published.
