  1. Schubert - Symphony No.9 and Haydn - Symphony No.88 Furtwangler - Berlin Philharmonic
  2. There are many many jazz alto, tenor and soprano saxophone players on the jazz scene. So it is particularly nice to have baritone sax player Jason Marshall provide us with this recording. Jason is one of the very few baritone sax players around today.
  3. Drummer Roger Humphries is someone I mainly associate with some of Horace Silver's excellent Blue Note recordings of the 60's. Humphries is also on the delightful Carmell Jones album - "Jay Hawk Talk" with Jimmy Heath, Barry Harris and George Tucker.
  4. Annette Sanders is a highly interesting jazz vocalist. While the first 2 tunes were nothing really special, the rest of the album was clearly a 5 star performance.
  5. Haydn- String Quartets Op.54/1 Op.54/2 Op.54/3
  6. Brahms - Piano Quartet No.3 and Byron Janis Plays Chopin
  7. Dittersdorf String Quartet No.5 and Beethoven String Quartet Op.127
  8. I recall seeing Bill Holman lead his Big Band at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, California back (roughly) 15 years ago. A wonderful musical treat. Holman was one of my favorite jazz arrangers. R.I.P.
  9. Beethoven - Piano Trio No.4,Op.11 and No.5,Op.70/1
