CD 2 Tracks 2-6 recorded live at Basin Street Club, New York City, April 28, 1956. Rollins on board. CD 2 Track 7 recorded live at Copenhagen, November 12, 1953. RLR has: Disc One and Disc Two 1-2: Recorded Live at the Bee Hive, Chicago, IL June 30, 1955 Plus a live date in New York, Feb. 1956. Rollins only on the latter, not on the former.
  3. Lonehill plus RLR cover it all, I guess. Haven't double checked
  4. Of course: And then:
  5. There is a MPS edition where it is paired with George Gruntz's "From Sticksland With Love" (GG Jazz Ensemble with the Basel Tambours and Pipers. Odd pairing!
  6. Spanish saxophonist and clarinetist Pedro Iturralde passed away this week. He was 91 years old. I have fond memories of the many PI concerts I attended over the past 20 years (Galileo Galileo, Central, Madrid Jazz Festival, Clamores...). I talked to him a few times and he was always gentle and communicative, even in July 2019, when he had severe hearing deficit. A legend in the Spanish jazz landscape for more than 60 years. Second only to Tete Montoliu. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P. https://elpais.com/cultura/2020-11-01/muere-pedro-iturralde-leyenda-del-jazz-en-espana-a-los-91-anos.html
