So good! A perfect mix of a couple of reinterpretations of standards and more abstract compositions. Plus I love Jaki Byard! Well, Frank Kimbrough’s Herbie Nichols Project was something! Only minor downside of some Steeplechases from the 70s is the recording of the drums, too rockish for these ears. That happens in some Tete Montoliu Trio discs, mainly with Tootie Heath sittin’ in.
