  1. I was totally sure you´d nail this one! This is the answer, Dan! (And please don't ask where EKE go that disc from Welcome to mikeweil's bft rules again...) ubu (going undercover) Noooooooope! Remember, volumes 1 & 3....
  2. Who´s that Mark Isham you insist on?
  3. My bet: 1.- England vs Netherlands 2.- France vs Czech Republic and then England vs France and then France B)

  6. You´re gonna love that one. One of my favorite Tete discs.
  7. What about Track 9? No blues lovers round here? Bessie? Billie? Helen Humes? Mmmmmmmmmmm, don´t go that way, guys!!! -_-
  8. And even more interesting guesses for Track 3, varying from Cedar Walton to Chick Corea. I thought this one would be recognized: doesn´t the arranging ring any bell? (I shouldn´t give so many clues... but it´s funny being at this side of the game )
  9. Guesses for Track 5 have been: -Jackie McLean -Kenny Garrett -Gary Bartz -"sounds European to these ears" Interesting! BTW: the tune title has already been correctly identified.
  10. ... I just include some of the spanish words I know from time to time. It's supposed to make me sound smart but I'm just dumb!
  11. You´re a true progresist, aren´t you?
  12. Alstublieft! Goedenavond. Hoe gaat het? Heel goed, dank u. En u? Dag. Tot ziens. B)
  13. Who speaks Spanish? brownie, you do! I can hardly express myself in written English, leave alone oral English! Well, I started studying German about twenty years ago. It lasted a couple of months! And my wife speaks good French. Maybe she could translate... though she HATES jazz (at least when horns are being blown... not to mention trumpet high notes: she drives mad!!!)
  14. Done hours ago, of course! Long life organissimo forums!!!
  15. Three points shot, MartyJazz!!! I have it in a different CD, but that´s it. (Sssshhhh, don´t tell anybody) B)
  16. We're talking about track 9, right? That track is a mind blower. Can't recall having heard this before. Sounds like some Basieites are there (Jo Jones, Sweets). But this goes on sans Basie. And of course, it's not Carter! We'll get the album with this jam when the Truth is revealed... No, brownie: I compiled the guesses for personnel on track 8. Someone guessed it was a Basie-ites small group. I threw you the glove on track 9 regarding Benny Carter....
  17. Only 8 braves have had the courage to post their guesses so far.... RRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGG !!!!!!!! FREE MOSAICS FOR ALL THOSE WHO POST THEIR GUESSES FROM NOW ON (if you´d ask me for those Mosaics... I´d delete this thread )
  18. BTW: Only 6 brave members have posted their guesses to this Bonus Disc.... Come on guys, it´s FREE!!!
  19. Would you bet your life it´s Benny Carter? Well, mikeweil made the same guess!!!! And brownie plus mikeweil can be a very convincing team....
  20. Suggestions made for personnel on Track 8: -Basie small group -Krupa on drums?... Eldridge? Some Hawk disciple on tenor, but not the Hawk himself. -Chu Berry -Django -Bill Coleman? A tenor sounding like the Giant soloing on track 4? You gotta clarify!!! B)
  21. Why in Paris? Do you hear that Parisian thoroughfare sound?
  22. You just hit it on the nose, Berigan! Give them OLD VINTAGE JAZZ!!!! B) And what about a Complete King Oliver? Or a compilation of 20´s, 30´s and 40´s Territory Bands? (I love that Frog release!)
  23. Someone at AAJ has just posted that the most recent news* about Lucky T show he´s still a confused man who has no interest in touching a saxophone. Literally: * from a very good source, it seems: Lola Pedrini who did her best to get him off the streets of Seattle and into a facility where he'd be cared for Sad news!
