  1. I believe Mal Waldron really brought the best out of other musicians making these recordings their finest hours recurringly .... just listen for instance to Isla Eckinger on "Free At Last" (ECM) ....
  2. What about Charlie Rouse + Woody Shaw + Mal Waldron + Reggie Workman + Ed Blackwell .... well this happened in 1986 and definitely fulfilled all (or at least my) expectations ....
  3. As a matter of fact newly assembled "Supergroups" often didn`t live up to the (sky high) expectations and resulted in less than the sum of it`s parts .... but that`s another story ....
  4. I loved Aaron Judge since his rookie season .... and he was actually the main reason for me following the Yankess these past years .... having said that, but in the unlikely situation losing him the Yankess will have the chance to re-build - and this is the stuff sometimes cinderella stories are made of ....
  5. I believe the Yankees simply can`t afford letting him go .... and this "luxury tax" should be no obstacle for thees wealthy owners (and the money will flow back in quickly with Judge-releated merchandise anyway) .... but let`s see ....
  6. Soul Aficionados will always be winners here ....
  7. Regarding newly formed "Supergroups" the first incarnation of Steps consisting of Michael Brecker, Steve Gadd, Mike Mainieri, Eddie Gomez and Don Grolnick should fit .... also Sphere with Charlie Rouse (ts) + Kenny Barron (p) + Buster Williams (b) + Ben Riley likely would qualify ....
  8. A match made in heaven ....
  9. Happy Birthday !!
  10. Yep ....
  11. 😁😇 ....
  12. ❤❤❤ and many more ....
  13. Yep, but Miles was irreplaceable .... so still believe it was an incredible individual effort by Freddie Hubbard to step .... which still doesn't seem being overly appreciated ....
  14. I believe the so called V.S.O.P Quintet worked quite well ...
  15. Musical reminiscences ....
  16. Mirroring a season for ages .... mission accomplished ....
