  1. Best wishes to you and your wife for the future. I collected most of these CDs new from Berlin based sellers on Discogs through the years, but I would love to read the original box set's accompanying book. Perhaps someday someone will upload a scan to the internet. I unfortunately cannot justify bidding for a copy of the complete set any longer, when I already own all titles I desired the most. It would be a shame, and a great bargain for the buyer, if further bids were not forthcoming in the 7 1/2 hours left.
  2. Schlippenbach Trio Bauhuas Dessau (Intakt)
  3. I bought this at the Cafe OTO web store: ANTHONY BRAXTON ZIM MUSIC – THREE DAY RESIDENCY A2 SILKSCREENED POSTER On occasion of the very special residency by Anthony Braxton we have a screenprinted poster available, designed by Oliver Barrett, printed on thick, quality paper in a limited edition of 100 numbered copies. https://www.cafeoto.co.uk/shop/anthony-braxton-zim-music-three-day-residency-1/
  4. Von Freeman Have No Fear (Nessa) Von Freeman Serenade & Blues (Nessa)
  5. 4 tracks: 37:18, 18:53, 17:03, 04:50. My only complaint so far is the poem with drum accompaniment early on in track 3. Usually the poems are recited before the musical performance. Here, it's somewhere between clearly audible (The Garden) and completely inaudible (Celebrated Blazons). Otherwise, excellent recording and performance. Essential for anyone who loves Leaf Palm Hand and the two The Feel Trio CDs on FMP.
  6. Cecil Taylor Conversations with Tony Oxley (Jazzwerkstatt) Recorded February 20, 2008 in Berlin.

  9. Mourinho gone by Christmas. Manchester United have become a joke. Meanwhile, Courtois warming the bench at the Bernabeu.
  10. I bought the Schumann disc when it won a Gramophone award, but it's very good. I have never bothered to try other Zehetmair recordings until now.

  12. I just climb on my bike for Indonesian take-out. Or Surinamese, but there is a good, affordable Indonesian close to where I live now.
  13. Just as long as it is not in the form of a referendum.

  19. I look forward to finally hearing these classic albums. Nessa CD reissues always have very high production values.
  20. Clifford Brown The Emarcy Master Takes
  21. Yes, it's a DSD remaster from 2014. Perhaps some day we will see more stuff like 52nd Street Theme saved from oblivion, though not if it's up to Sonny, of course.
  22. Sonny Rollins After the Bridge (Sony Japan, SICP 4192~3)
  23. Whatever, Jim. I think the Milestone albums are pretty much shite. Sorry to enter the grown up discussion. Perhaps I should revisit some Milestone Sonny tonight. Silver City!
