Hey Jim (or Use3D) Have you noticed that the times given for any action such as editing a post or logging in are totally wrong? Not a big deal, but what gives?

I saw the Ya-Ya3 group in Detroit, in a double bill with the John Scofield Band. Great show, though I found Sco's group more engaging. Well, he is one of my all-time guitar heroes, and I happen to love Uberjam, so I perhaps I'm biased. There was an obvious joy for the music in Josh's group, and he is certainly a dynamic performer. And Sam might just be my favorite of the younger organ players. I like the loose sort of vibe that his albums have. Too bad if Jimmy Smith was having an off night. I saw him a couple of years ago at the Detroit Jazz Fest and thought it was wonderful. I couldn't stop grinning.

Andrew, Thank you so much man! TJ has spoken very highly of you as well. He hasn't sent me any recordings, though... Anyway, thanks for stopping in, and I'm glad you like the music. I also hope we can hang out someday. Joe

This is for everyone now registered here or thinking of joining the fray. I'm Joe Gloss, guitarist for organissimo. I never posted at BNBB, just occasionally checked it out if Jim mentioned something interesting going on over there. I just want to say how blown away I am by the response Jim has gotten from all of you concerning this forum. I had no idea that such a tight-knit and self-supportive community had been created over at BNBB. Even though I had nothing to do with setting this up, I would still be bursting with pride for my buddy Jim and for all of us together if everybody were to stick around and make this a regular hang. Blue Note's loss would be our gain, as a community like this would make the organissimo site so much more than just a promotional spot for the band. Just got this one in the mail yesterday and we listened to it on the way to the gig. High level stuff, for sure. I'll need to let it grow on me for a bit before I can say for sure what I think of it. I know it's good, but do I love it? Too early to tell. Any thoughts from other listeners?
