  1. I know it's a shocker, but my competely unbiased opinion is to get it....IF you like pre war small group jazz. I think I mentioned when the set came out to start on te 3rd or 4th cd if you were not familiar with Bunny...heck, why not dig up old berigan thread????? http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...&hl=berigan
  2. I ain't ever gonna go out of print!
  3. Here is a link with more info than you could ever possibly read in full....Yes, a political site, but for the most part just the facts with little opinion....just skip the comments http://hotair.com/archives/2007/04/17/brea...-seung-hui-cho/
  4. Now they say the killer was a Chinese man in the US on a student visa! WTF???? http://www.suntimes.com/news/nation/343354...07.articleprint
  5. You are right ghost, something was clearly very poorly handled in this situation. Get the kids out of the classrooms! Error on the side of caution. And, didn't anyone have a gun? A campus this big, no security guards with guns?????
  6. ...this shit happens all over the world as we speak.....not just in America....sad none the less! Yeah, horrible as this is, it's hard to compare this with what's going on in, say, Darfur. Why do they have to be compared? I think to point out mass murder doesn't only occur in America. How many hundreds of thousands were killed in Rwanda , without the aid of guns?
  7. horrible, just horribe.....can you imagine how the families that haven't heard from loved ones are feeling right now? I wonder if we will find out he spent hours each day playing ultra violent video games.....
  8. That's right, B.M.; as long as they know their place, Berigan has nothing against black folks... Hey Mark, why don't you fuck youself? Don't tell me, let me guess...if you aren't a liberal, you are a racist, right?
  9. A frightening precedent, though, if you'd care to include any left-leaning talk show hosts... Does the same rule apply if they "cross the line" as well? I'd hate to see public discourse (not Free Speach!) stiffled out of fear. Show me a left wing comment as vile as Limbaugh's recent characterization of Michael J. Fox. So you're one of those "free speech so long as i agree with it" types, huh? You may think it's a simple matter of free speech, but calling a basketball team of college women "nappy headed hoes" is pointless, despicable, unfunny, and cruel. It is also, in my opinion, slanderous, and I hope Imus gets his ass sued. Quite the liberal at heart Alexander and Ray back up their liberal, for free speech viewpoints, you seem to want to force people off the air that have viewpoints that don't jibe with yours. I guess you are a big fan of Jesse and Al, eh???? Sharpton's actions and comments lead to the deaths of several Jewish people, yet he is still on the radio. a few examples.... 1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn's Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin's funeral he rails against the "diamond merchants" -- code for Jews -- with "the blood of innocent babies" on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, "No justice, no peace." A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting "Kill the Jews!" and stabbed to death. 1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy's Fashion Mart, Freddy's white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. "We will not stand by," he warns malignantly, "and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Sharpton's National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy's are spat on and cursed as "traitors" and "Uncle Toms." Some protesters shout, "Burn down the Jew store!" and simulate striking a match. "We're going to see that this cracker suffers," says Sharpton's colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy's, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno. http://www.capmag.com/article.asp?ID=2411 Brownian Motion, I am sure we will see you calling for Sharpton's removal from the air.... I know this is going to strain the processing function of your walnut-sized brain, but because I'm no fan of Imus it does not follow that I admire Sharpton. You might have elicited this information from me before you jumped to conclusions and posted all this crap, though I've noticed you rarely miss an opportunity to dump on black people and muslims, no matter how irrelevant your observations might be. Brownian Motion, you only talk about hoping Coulter(Who doesn't even have a regular gig except for a weekly column) and Rush will have a "quick and complete banishment" That a prick like Sharpton is on the air, well, that's just aok with you! You didn't add, I hope Sharpton suffers a quick and complete banishment as well. Oh and since your brain must be at least the size of your typical dust mite, find some posts of me dumping on black folks, I double dog dare ya!

  11. Boy, he'd better have stories about the 44,000 Native Americans who fought in WW2 . And what about the toll on German American's living in America during the war? What about Lithuanians? As a German-Lithuanian-American, I DEMAND he tell our story as well! Who does he think he is? A documentary filmmaker who can make his documentaries the way he wanted to? Just cut out the section on Audie Murphy and hire an expert on the Lithuanian-American war effort....
  12. Yes, it became clear early-on that these young men probably did not rape their accuser. At least they were never convicted of a crime and never had to serve unjustified prison time, unlike the state worker in Wisconsin whose guilty verdict was overturned by a 3 judge panel last Friday. She was railroaded last fall during the Wisconsin gubernatorial race by an overzealous US Attorney, who was proudly doing the White House's bidding. Man, it's amazing how you guys can stick your hatred of Bush into just about every post! Isn't Nifong a Democrat??? Didn't he use this case to win re-election???? I didn't feel the need to mention that before, I was trying to just keep this on the case itself.....since this will no doubt push this into the political forum, how about some names, in the story you mentioned?
  13. I always remember what Sandy Koufax said after the first 2 years of Dwight Gooden's career(Remember how slow Sandy started his career) He said he'd rather have Gooden's future, than his past......
  14. Belated Happy Birthday Evan! Hope it was great! I was going to post yesterday, went looking for just the right Bettie Page photo(you know, sexy, without boobage!) but was unsucessful! Google yourself a great one!
  15. Not only are the charges dropped against them, the state A.G. said they are innocent!!!! http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8...;show_article=1
  16. Mike Hampton, who hasn't pitched in almost 2 years, just found out he has a torn flexor tendon, and is out for '07! I really feel for the guy, he has been trying so hard to get back, and he may be done...... Perhaps Kyle Davies will fill in fine for him the rest of the season. He looked very good yesterday against the Mets....
  17. 102-Year-Old Calif. Woman Hits Hole-in-1 CHICO, Calif. — Elsie McLean thought she might have lost her ball on the par-3, 100-yard fourth hole at Bidwell Park. Instead, the 102-year-old Chico woman became the oldest golfer ever to make a hole-in-one on a regulation course. Because of the slope of the green, McLean and her partners couldn't see where her ball landed after she teed off. "Where's my ball?" McLean asked. Her friends, Elizabeth Rake and Kathy Crowder, found it in the cup. "I said, 'Oh, my Lord. It can't be true. It can't be true.' I was so excited. And the girls were absolutely overcome," McLean said. It was McLean's first ace. "Well everybody wants a hole-in-one, and I said, 'Why can't I have a hole-in-one?' I came within inches once," McLean told television station KNVN. McLean, who used a driver, broke the age record of 101 set by Harold Stilson in 2001 at Deerfield Country Club in Florida. McLean, who has been featured in golf magazines before, will appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on April 24 to celebrate her accomplishment. "For an old lady," she said, "I still hit the ball pretty good." http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/shared-g..._Ace_at_12.html
  18. What about Blues Brothers? The (car) body count is through the roof on that. Or maybe it doesn't matter if they're just cop cars? And Bullit wrecked two of the most classic cars of all time in one chase scene! Big difference, they were new cars then! I even heard Quintin talking to Jay Leno about how they were told that they could never tell folks they were buying cars from that they were going to be used for a movie, and likely destroyed. "Oh don't worry man, I will treat your baby well! Always used Valvoline, sure, that's what she'll use for the rest of her life!" Between the Dukes of Hazzard TV shows, and movies, and this movie, I am amazed there are any late 60's Chargers left.
  19. Boxoffice has not been very good so far.....bad luck to destroy lots of old cars for a stupid movie!
  20. I bet Ken Murray was a dirty old man
  21. whats funny, is that she was around long before these photos! I have seen her in Warner Bros. films in 1934, 35 with short overly curly hair...she got better with age.
  22. Don't panic! Only 3 games. Weren't the Mariners in first place last year after the first week?
  23. I watched the whole game Dice-K was VERY IMPRESSIVE !!! I for one am glad to see you posting about the Red Sox!
