  15. akanalog, i'll agree with you that -the essence of mystery- is also very good. but it is not the same type of recording as the wall of sound, mind transplant. toshiba has very recently reissued some cd's from their-blue note hits a new note series-moacir santos-saudade,for one. the essence of mystery was from this series, hopefully they will reissue the complete series. also ronnie foster-cheshire cat & gene harris-astral signal.
  16. i posed this ? about a half decent place to stay in nyc,was going to see a show,(have not made it yet). i got a recommendation for the-seafarers & international house-123 e 15th st.- they said it was clean, safe, moderately priced,& run by the lutheran church. if it is still there when i decide to go, i'll give it a shot. have not been to nyc for awhile, but when i used to show up,i liked the jazz record center alot better than academy.just my opinion.

  25. anyone looking for some hot,funky,jazz/fusion recordings, mind transplant, recently reissued by toshiba, is the way to go! three geetar players, including tommy bolin, imo, easily the best recording of this type, put out by blue note. for the times that you want to get down, and not critically anlayze every note, but just have a funky hoedown, repeat after me,MIND TRANSPLANT!
