  1. Not sure what your point is, Jim, but I really like this session. You're right, it should have been reissued. And Romano's playing with Woody Herman was really good, too. Romano also had his own more recent session, a good quintet session (with Joe Magnarelli I think), from the 90's perhaps, which I had as a digital download, but lost in a computer crash. Now:

  5. Just took a big gulp of cold, fresh air and ordered. When Chuck Nessa calls a set a fine collection, I consider that high praise and a definite recommendation.
  6. Maynard Ferguson (though I have the set on CDR). the Herman Capitol set (again I have a couple of the sessions on CDR, not from the set, though), and the Ellington Capitol set. I have a fair number of Mosaic sets, don't quite know how I missed these.
