  1. I have all those Schneiderman CD's and enjoy them very much. He 's one of my favorite pianists. Tardo Hammer, too.
  2. Have had this LP in my collection for decades. Probably only listened to it 3 times when I bought it. Haven't listened to it since. What a fool I've been. This is a magnificent record. I hate to use the word "perfect" to describe a jazz record because perfection isn't the goal in jazz necessarily. But everything about this record is right and good. The jazz stars were aligned that day. The jazz gods smiled upon this session.
  3. Not a bootleg at all. Chiaroscuro label. Produced by Hank O'Neal. Recorded I believe in '73. File under "Buddy Tate".
  4. Well, I'll pick 2 tracks from this recording -- "Autumn Leaves and "Nardis" . This is an outstanding CD in every way and reminds me of one of my very favorite piano trio recordings - Beirach's "Elegy for Bill Evans", which I have only on a rather scratchy and worn LP.
  5. It is the better of the two, no doubt in my mind. Chairman is one of the best albums the NT Basie Band ever made IMO, arguably the best.
