  2. Anthony Braxton - Five Pieces 1975 (Arista) Powerfully soulful music (of a different sort ).
  3. James Moody - Return from Overbrook (Chess) Compiles two Argo LPs originally released as The Last Train from Overbrook (1958) and Flute 'n the Blues (1956). Powerfully soulful music.
  4. Scott Colley - The Magic Line (Arabesque) trio with Chris Potter & Bill Stewart For the decade or so that Arabesque was in the jazz game, they released some outstanding music.
  5. The interview with Ethan Iverson is very interesting, well worth a read. I'm REALLY looking forward to reading Mark's book. I got my shipping notification yesterday.

  16. John Hicks - Hicks Time: Solo Piano (Passin' Thru) One of Hicks' best records, IMO.
