  1. Now spinning: Warren Vaché - Polished Brass (Concord, 1979) Top-shelf swing revivalism. Having Cal Collins' guitar as the primary chordal instrument -- instead of a piano -- works very well, giving the music plenty of air. Vaché's cornet (and occasional flugelhorn) is front-and-center, and he makes some lovely sounds. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Since I've already got all of this music (aside from a few alt takes), the potential AQ improvement is going to be a big determining factor whether I spring for this set. NP:
