  1. Interesting... Do I like my woman to have opinions.... Truthful answer: on some things, "yes," on other things, "no." Men just like to fight, Patty. That's why they go off to wars. Stick a bunch of M-16s in the hands of young men here in America and they would end up firing at each other. That's the way it works.
  2. Formerly fluent in Thai, I have forgotten much in the eight years since I moved back to the US. So, my speech was simple: "Thai women are pretty. I haven't been back to Thailand for eight years. I miss it a little. Thank you." My wife and I speak only English at home (to my shame.) I never encouraged the use of Thai, and we spoke English exclusively even during the 11 years in Bangkok. Even my kid can't speak it. I shamefully told her that it was more important to master English. Did I do the right thing? I have no idea. In my simple way, I thought the two languages would create linguistic confusion for the kid. I was probably wrong on that and missed the opportunity to have him learn two languages at the same time.
  3. Well John, Can't say I blame you. I got me my own little Thai lass. We've been together for a long time and I'm certainly happy. I may not quite be as happy as DEEP who has evidently entered into higher spheres of bliss not normally frequented by married males, but happy enough in relative terms.
  4. Hard to do this in the Latin alphabet but.... Pooying Thai souoy mahk. Pohm mai yoo Phathet Thai sam rap paet pee lao. Keetung nit noy. Kop jai krap.
  5. PATTY PLEASE... Come back to this thread. I'm surrounded with lechers and lechers-in-hibernation and wannabe-lechers and lechers-on-site-in-Tokyo. Don't leave me here all alone!!
  6. I like the direction of this thread right now. You guys are bringing back some good memories...
  7. I delete the cookies then I find the board runs a lot faster. Of course, it means that you have to log back in with your password. Try that guys and report back!
  8. Great aphorism, Hops, though I haven't yet warmed up to eating bait. Looks like the stiff metal guy next to you could use an Asian momma!
  9. You are right, John. There could be no other possible reason for a white man to stay in Tokyo. It would appear that THE GROPER has never been infected with YELLOW FEVER. If that were to happen he might go for wife number six. Five WHITE wives could drive anyone tO MISOGYNY. Oh, the humanity. DEEP Definitely one of DEEP's funnier posts...
  10. You are right, John. There could be no other possible reason for a white man to stay in Tokyo.
  11. But we want to HEAR Patty. Patty, PLEASE come back! I don't want to be left here all alone with a lecher and a lecher-in-hibernation...
  12. Very eloquent. Thanks DEEP...
  13. Jazzbo, Evan, Catesta, Berigan, JSangry watch out!!
  14. Five times, GROPE? You're supposed to ****em, not marry em!
  15. I stand corrected, GROPE. I guess all my stuff is in hibernation too. DEEP hasn't yet discovered the platonic apparently...
  16. Open Call for Patty's Return: Come back Patty! How could you desert a thread frequented by people like DEEP and the GROPER? This is a thread about libidos and the RIGHT view of the world, but I'm sure you could feel free to discuss the ontology of their nicknames. I do agree with DEEP that the chatter about jazz nicknames was wearing thin; in fact I didn't even read em. I was too busy speed reading for prurient comments; kinda like looking for diamonds in a pile of dung, or looking for the red M&M in a pile of browns and yellows. But your goodnature and friendliness came through all that boring stuff you wrote about, Patty; and we need you to return. Don't leave me here alone with those two lechers! In short: we ask for the return of our QUIET NEIGHBOR TO THE THE NORTH.
  17. I think he sells all kinds of stuff "real cheap!"
  18. Nah, Chris, I'm not too fond of "flied lice." Okay, how about "honey-skinned" instead as a description?
  19. I remember this story as well, though I haven't read my two volumes of "Black Jack" by Frank Vandiver. Can't do this stuff anymore, DEEP, though we often yearn for it. We were still an aggressive, male-dominated nation back then. It was both good and bad. Can't have one without the other. DEEP: hope Patty returns to the thread. She provided the straight comments while everyone else threw curveballs. If everyone throws only curveballs, we have no direction!
  20. I've got Couw's disc but haven't commented yet. I wanted to listen to it once more before commenting, and I certainly will not look at what others have said before making comments. Will try to get to it this week.
  21. I kinda like my women yellow too. Well, woman (singular.) No divertimento. One is enough. Had my fun when I was a young man. DEEP's got DEEP appetites.
  22. I see Martin Luther King as a great American who espoused positive change through peaceful means. He was influenced by the methods of Mahatma Ghandi and the writings of Leo Tolstoy. Like these two predecessors, he spoke to his country's moral conscience. I do not view this as a "black man's holiday." King's message is universal and speaks to us all. In a violent and dynamic time, he communicated by his words and actions the need for positive change. He was a great man; and it was shameful that he was senselessly killed. He definitely deserves a holiday in his honor as he was a great American.
