What's the best method these days for joining BMG?
The best method is to have someone here, sponsor you. The sponsor gets 5 free CDs (they pay shipping charges for the CDs), and you (the new member) get the 12 for 1 Deal. When buying your 1CD, be sure to wait for a 4 for 1 or 5 for 1 deal. Then your total would be 16 or 17 CDs for the price of 1. Which would average out to about $4 per disc. (total includes shipping charges : $2.79/CD)

Well, I received nine boxes on Tuesday and have shipping confirmations (via email) on another dozen sets - which "should" arrive today or tomorrow if the schedule holds. This corresponds with the on-line invoices that state "shipped." I never received shipping confirmations for the sets now marked "returned," so hopefully I should still end up with around 20 boxes from this "sale."
20 box sets, that's a pretty good catch.
I think I ordered over 50 and will only get about 2 or 3.

What I find tough, is trying to fit a BEAR BOX set into the 14x14 sleeves. Some BEARS are too thick.

I got this BMG code in email, but didn't think it was worth much. But I've been eyeing the Nat King Cole TRANSCRIPTIONS (3CD). This code brings the price down to $6 + 6.77 (shipping/handling) = $12.77
All the BOX SETS are bargain priced too.
I think the code expires 2/3/2008.

Really, these prices are just $1 cheaper than doing a sponsored enrollment deal. (Sponsor gets 5, new member gets 12 for 1, new member buys 1 with 4 free = 21 CDs total) But of course, it's easier to order a ton of CDs all at once with this code.
