    Lennie Tristano - 1919
  2. sphincter squeezin'.
  3. Evelyn, a modified dog Viewed the quivering fringe of a special doily Draped across the piano, with some surprise In the darkened room Where the chairs dismayed And the horrible curtains Muffled the rain She could hardly believe her eyes A curious breeze A garlic breath Which sounded like a snore Somewhere near the Steinway (or even from within) Had caused the doily fringe to waft & tremble in the gloom Evelyn, a dog, having undergone Further modification Pondered the significance of short-person behavior In pedal-depressed panchromatic resonance And other highly ambient domains... Arf she said -Frank Zappa
  4. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...&hl=scientology We had a bit of discussion last Summer.
  5. You always have the option of having a dedicated fretless with fret lines. Not that you can really play in-tune chords on that beast. Diads work best and WTF, do you really need more than two notes to comp? (more experienced musicans are welcome to clear this up for me).
  6. Agreed. Curious to see where this goes from here. South Park could tell everybody to go fuck themselves and just release DVDs. They have enough clout to do this.
  7. I've seen this before. When the frets are up, they look like they're nicely crowned like a great fret job. When they're down, you're not going to hear a smooth transition in pitch. Slide along the fretboard and when the fingerboard ends, there's going to be a gap until you hit the top of the fret. I might be wrong, but that's how I see it. I should get my fretless out and apply myself to it, it's been a while and I feel bad about not doing much about that axe.
  8. Could be interesting. Call him New Chef.
  9. He was big in the 70's you know! That, and the fact the show is swarming with Scientologists(Is that what one calls a group of scientologists, a swarm?) Maybe my delivery was a bit dry. I remember him from the '70s. Upthread, I was the one who pointed out the Thetans on that '70s Show.
  10. He did a cameo on that '70s Show last night. I wonder how he got that gig?
  11. Have Wynton, in a teary-eyed reconcilliation scene, produce Doo-Bop?
  12. What's so great about Sharon Stone? She's the girl next door who flashes you for thrills.
  13. pregnant? shotgun?
  14. imagine that, a birthday.
  15. Man, I had no idea... I know...and I love that show. I hope these kids have a life beyond that show and da cult.Someone should send Red over to their HQ's so he can put a foot up their collective ass. Dumb ass!
  16. Man, I had no idea... I know...and I love that show. I hope these kids have a life beyond that show and da cult.
  17. I hear Miles Davis is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
  18. Aren't there a lot of Scientologists on that show to begin with? Yep. Danny Masterson as Hyde. Laura Prepon as Donna Pinciotti.

I always dug the trio with DeJohnette and Vitous, and the groups with Mikkelborg. The Chasers with fretless bass. Yum.
  20. Not knowing which Jim I am You're one. This is an intense debate, an interesting legal defense. I'm not sure where I stand on this because both sides of the arguement make sense.
  21. It's 0-0. Every time Jim makes a good point, Jim makes a better one.
  22. I don't know. He yammers on and on and he lost me. I was trying to work at the time. I tuned in and hour later and he was telling his Ornette in the studio story again.
