  3. Don't know that I'd go that far, but I was surprised that it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting, and that it actually had some pretty decent stuff on it. The reharmonization of "19th Nervous Breakdown" was particularly appealing to me.
  4. This is in a class with the best of Sinatra, at least...such control, such consciousness of the line and it's contour relative to the lyric,,,and total control of same....I know nothing of this guy, was just looking for versions of this, one of the most beautiful of boleros, and found it. Es mi amor, delirio de estar contigo y yo soy dichoso mi bien porque me quieres, también If only I could express how immense it is At the bottom of my heart, my love for you. It is delirious love that embraces my soul It is passion that torments my heart. Always you are with me in my most profound sadness You are with me in my joy and in my suffering Because of you my entire life is locked away If I am not with you, my (source of) wellness, I don't know how to live. This is my love, delirious to be with you And I am blessed my (source of) wellness, because you also want me. (Gotta be a better translation for "mi bien" that keeps the concept of "wellness"...)
  5. Is this footage commercially available?
  6. Yeah we got bombed a few years ago and yeah it was horrific and yeah there's still some bad people out there trying to do it again, but at some point a strong, sane, and sensible people say "fuck it, enough is enough, no more tripping out, let's just move on", and I think we've long since passed the point where we should have done that, which leads me to wonder if we haven't crossed the point of no return on the way to some other place.

  21. Pretty good Warne, not "the best", but still recommended. However, the "Body and Soul" on here is "the best" and is worth the cost of admission alone. Warne gets into that zone of his on this one and goes waaaaaaaay deep into it. A true masterpiece, jaw-droppingly so.
  22. Being a full-time jerk is a burden nobody should have to shoulder alone. I'm here to share the load. I hope it goes w/o saying that all hopes here are for the best. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.
