  1. i'm pretty much done with pro (and amature, yeah right) sports. ticket prices are silly, the players act like the sun rises and sets on their collective ass, and the owners are fond of holding entire cities hostage so they can get a new stadium.

even more hypocritical are College sports. instead of wasting a classroom seat with an "athlete" who might not have enough credits to graduate, give the seat to a student who will, in all probability, graduate and use his/her degree in a productive manor. in turn, use some of the $$$ from sport ticket sales to pay the athlete. i still enjoy watching baseball, tho i don't keep up with it like i used to. at the begining of the season i have to learn new faces/names, and i never read box scores or the sports page. if it all stopped tomorrow, it'd be all right with me.

that being said, i hate(!) any team that plays against my beloved Chicago Cubs. :D

  2. Unfortunately "The Night Chicago Died" comes to mind today.

:lol::lol: quite possibly the worse song ever written and recorded.

    i like:

    April in Paris (Monks version)

    San Francisco Nights (Eric Burdon)

I Wish I Was in New Orleans (Tom Waits)

    San Ber'dino (Frank Zappa)

    Inner City Blues (Marvin Gaye)

The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party (John Fahey)

Last Train To Clarksville (The Monkees) :g

  3. she left out the part about gaining 300lbs, cutting her hair to near nothing, and bitching at him constantly about his cigar smoking or jazz record collection.

Sounds like you know more than you're letting on, Jacman! So, 'fess up: you're dippin' the wick somewhere else, ain't ya!

well, my first wife sorta fit into that catagory, except: no kids, not that much weight.

i'm currently married to the most wonderful woman in the world, who does't mind the cigars, and thinks my Jazz collection is cool. :D

  4. since i'm fan on Kung-Fu flicks, i'm told i'll like this one as well. my back is acting up, and i havn't left the house for the last week. as soon as i can sit for more than an hour without pain, i'm going to see 'Kill Bill', and the new Bill Murray flick. :tup

    PM sent, Lon.
