I did not know of this article (thanks!), but I just listened to this one yesterday and was surprised by how much it reminded me of Don Friedman's roughly contemporaneous quartet featuring Attila Zoller.
I'm the sole coffee drinker in my household and make only one cup at a time. The Clever Brewer is my jam. Caveat: you'll need a good digital scale and a gooseneck kettle to achieve optimal results. But both of those things are multitaskers.

Also, I as today years old when I learned that one of Metamorphosis' original proprietors was National Poetry Slam Champion Clebo Rainey.
But I have fond memories of the original Metamorphosis Records (before they moved to Exposition Park), The Record Gallery on Lower Greenville, and Collector's Records in Casa Linda.
