Found a rare and vauable boxset at triftstore yesterday. Bruno Walter, Erich Kleiber Furtwangler, Adrian Boult, Carl Schuricht, Pierre Monteux and others here. This is a rare find. Something natural about his playing here. Brendel in his primetime ... he did made good recordings further in his career but also bad ones.

eight and a half out of ten ... Alicia De Larrocha is one of the greats i think for me. I would say her style is communicative,simplistic, enjoyable. I think it is remarkable that she is broadly oriented but also a little superficial. I have a record of her playing her favorites and she knows how to get just about the right swing to everything.

I've been thinking about buying this one. This is something else ?!
