  1. Another thrifty ... Great performances here ! Ernest Bloch - Schelomo (Wallenstein, Berliner, 1961) * Max Bruch - Kol Nidrei (Martinon, Lamoureux, 1961)
  2. Then it's about time, damn
  3. Still enjoying discs that came out of the Hip-hop wonderbag i found.
  4. Rachmaninoff - Symphonic Dances ( Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Live recording from 21 November 1976) Stunning !
  5. Like these ouvertures conducted by Horenstein. I am sure i will return to this recording with pleasure. Found a sealed copy but it's a little noisy. Ok, .. I don't have it on cd/lp but listened on youtube. Maybe i will have a better listen one day.
  6. I enjoyed it. Have you heard Smetáček ?
  7. This recording hits the spot ! Delivers a transparant and stately performance despite being a little slow. No, that Leipzig recording doesn't sound good to me.
  8. I will check this one in a minute ... and i will comment ... i am curious.
  9. I didn't expect something, just started to listen. It's not to bad, ... it's pretty slow but more significant it misses the poetic/idyllic almost idealistic touch this piece screams for (or is that just me ?!). Someone else described this version like Neumann in the rol of a wise story-teller instead of a poet and i agree with him.
  10. Just listened to part of Neumann's Ma Vlast (Leipzig). I am not impressed by this recording. Boring ...
