  1. Yep. It's a nice one. Something a bit different.
  2. Nu Creative Methods – Nu Jungle Dances (1978)
  3. Brandon Lopez Trio – Matanzas
  4. Steve Beresford and Angharad Davies – Trwst
  5. George Wallington Quintet – Live! At Cafe Bohemia/1955
  6. Lester Bowie - The Great Pretender
  7. Plays Debussy was alright. It was Debussy on piano, with a rhythm section, for no particularly good reason. But it wasn't bad bad.
  8. Jacques Loussier Trio – Plays Debussy More out of idle curiousity than anything.
  9. I definitely do agree with you. Often quite samey too.
  10. Lovely to hear!
  11. Peter Appleyard Orchestra – Per-cus-sive Jazz
  12. The Modern Jazz Society Presents a Concert of Contemporary Music
  13. I don't know much about Ewart once the 1980s dawn. Is this good?
  14. Family Of Percussion & Guests - Peter Giger / Trilok Gurtu / Doug Hammond / Tom Nicholas & Wolfgang Dauner / Alan Skidmore – Sunday Palaver Just listened to this for the first time on a stream of a couple of tracks. Seems impressive as a groove record. I'm surprised that the Gilles Peterson crowd aren't all over it.
  15. I wanted to go to that but I'm away those days. Great line up.
  16. I'm listening to Ken Vandermark's How Harriott Project at the moment.
  17. Bill Dixon / Matthias Bauer / Klaus Koch / Tony Oxley – Berlin Abbozzi
  18. Léon Francioli With Pierre Favre, Eje Thelin, Jouk Minor – Live In Montreux (1972)
  19. Arthur Brooks Ensemble V – Nightcaller
  20. Keith Tippett Septet – A Loose Kite In A Gentle Wind Floating With Only My Will For An Anchor Another great one. Having listened to this for ages. The unwieldy name and forgettable cover mean that I don't always remember with his other records.
  21. Richard Teitelbaum, Carlos Zingaro – The Sea Between One of my favourites by the respective musicians. The violin and synth combo works so well.
  22. I really enjoyed When the Heart Emerges Glistening. Otherwise I've always thought he's a talented trumpeter that tends to self-sabotage with weak ideas.
  23. Nice to see. I did wonder which George Lewis it would be, though.
  24. Mary Halvorson, Noël Akchoté – Mary Halvorson & Noël Akchoté (2016) Ghastly cover art.
